#Leleh @MyTown

It was an usual weekday, we visited MyTown for dinner. While walking around, I noticed #Leleh and recalled their drink, which I tried on my last visit. I wanted to try the Melted Milk Tea again, hence we went in to have their melted tea and decided to order our dinner there as well.

Nasi Volcane: RM17.90

Nasi(Rice) Volcane was beautifully done. I have ordered this dish as the presentation looked quite tempting at the picture. The chicken was crispy and the combination of the chicken with egg and the curry was perfect.

Teh Tarik #Leleh: RM 6.50

Teh Tarik a.k.a Melted Milk Tea, is their best seller in drinks and it was perfect. The reason I have paid them another visit.

Lekor Cheese: RM 6.90

The Cheese Lekor (Traditional Malay Fish Craker), even though it was a part of their recommended menu; it was not that good, . The cheese used with lekor was not fresh. It tasted like dehydrated cheese. If they use fresh cheese, it will go perfectly with the crakers.

Char Kuay Teow with extra Prawn: RM 11.90

Plain Char Kuay Teow: RM 9.90

Char Kuay Teow is their signature dish. We have ordered two of them, one with extra prawns and another plain. It was not really like the original char kuay teow which you can get in traditional malay shops, however their flavour was quite close to the original flavour.

Merchant's Lane Cafe @ KL

I heard about Merchant's Lane Cafe from a friend of mine. The cafe is hidden, not easy to find. I had to wait in-front of ATC (Advance Tertiary College) for my friend to guide me to the cafe. The cafe is just next to ATC, but their entrance is hidden by another shop which is located in group floor.

Since we have visited them on the weekend; it was quite crowded, but we managed to find a place to sit without queuing.

Their menu is interesting with limited options, western cooking with a twist of asian fusion.

Latte: RM 11

Italian Chow Mien: RM 24

South China Sea: RM 32

Kai Fan 4.0: RM 24

Fai Fan 4.0, grilled chicken topped with thai green curry rice and served with rice and steamed vegetables. You might wonder about their version of Kai Fan which is 4.0 and its difference with Kai Fan, well normal Kai Fan is grilled chicken with butter rice, salad and fried egg.

South China Sea, grilled salmon served with eggs, salad and housemade hash. Italian chow mein, which is stir fried spaghetti with traditional Malaysian chicken rendang. It tasted just like Fried Mee to me.

Overall, I am satisfied with their food. Their serving size is good, taste and service were equally. However, locating the place is a pain. Specially for those who are driving, looking for a place to park will not be easy. If you are planning to visit Merchant's Lane for brunch on the weekend, I would suggest to use grab or mycar instead of driving.

Food Court @City One Plaza

If you love Indian and Pakistani food, you will have to check out this food court located at the second level of City One Plaza. We decided to pay them a visit while shopping at the mall. If you are not aware of this place, this is the best place in KL to buy Indian or Pakistani cloths.

Their Pakistani biryani is worth a try. I  visited this place two or three times while I was in the nearby area. On our this visit, we decided to taste their garlic naan with daal (Yellow Lentils) and palak chicken (Spinach Chicken).

Daal

Palak Chicken

Palak Chicken was good, but it was cold. Perhaps they made it in the morning.

Garlic Naan

Naan was fresh and taste, made to order.

Masala Chai (Tea)

Dahi Puri: RM 6

While being in such a place, I could not leave without having my favourite dahi puri. Apart from the dishes I tried, they have variety of Indian/Pakistani Sweets and Snacks.

Overall, food was good. this might be one of the most affordable North Indian and Pakistani food you can find around this area. If I am shopping around that area, will definitely pay them another visit.

Wingstop Malaysia @ MyTOWN

Wingstop is more than just about wings and has been serving since 1994, originally from Taxes. They offer various types of fried chicken. We decided to go for their Frankenstein Chicken Combo, which comes with 2 sides, 2 dips, 2 drinks and 4 types of chicken.

I loved their concept of ordering your own food from their tablet and food will be brought to you by their waiters. If you have leftovers do not worry about wasting your food, they offer boxes to pack your leftover at their sauce bar for self-service.

Their menu is simple but it has many choices to choose from for everyone. Pairing Platter looked interesting as well. Eventually we decided to order this set, but we changed our mind at the counter to Frankenstein.

Lemon Pepper Fries

Onion Ring

Ice Lemon Tea

Frankestine Chicekn

Frankestine Chicken is a Wingstop's Halloween special menu. This serves their best selling flavours, such as Louisiana Rub, Garlic Parmesan, Mango Habanero and Balinese Spice on 4 types of chicken. Chicken pieces provided here are Hand-breaded Wings, Tenders, Boneless Wings & Drumstick which make up a whole chicken. Ranch and Honey Mustard Dips were amazing and it matched perfectly with the main dish.

Frankestine Chicken Combo: RM 43.13

Apart from the flavours we tried, Wingstop has many other flavours to choose from.

Overall, my dining experience at Wingstop was good. They are among the best food chain selling chicken wings and drumsticks in town. I will pay them another visit to try Wingstop's other flavours.

Bacon & Brews @ Damansara Uptown

It was just another day at work, when we decided to visit this place for lunch as it was highly recommended by one of our colleagues. It's a small restaurant located on top of Sen of Thai.

Fat Rice Set - Signature Dish

Garlic Aglio Olio Set

Not sure about their other menu, however it's a really good deal if you go for their lunch set menus. Each set comes with citrus plum juice, which you can order hot/cold.

Options in their lunch sets are not much, but the food offered were interesting enough and is very much worth the price and quality of the food is amazing. All of their lunch set costs RM 10.90 and there are six sets to choose from.

If you want to have something apart from their lunch set you can try their their normal menu as well. They have the option to add on in your set, such as Extra Bacon (RM 3), Rice/Egg (RM 2.50), upgrade Hot Coffee (RM 5) and upgrade Iced Coffee (RM 6).

Oh, don't miss out on their desserts, as they have a rather peculiar "Bacon-Cheese Cake" which is really made from real "bacon" and "cheese". We couldn't try the cake as we were already too full, however will certainly visit again just to try it! Overall, it has been an interesting experience and look forward to it again.

Waroeng Penyet @ NU Sentral

Waroeng Penyet, located on the 4th floor of Nu Sentral mall, is an Indonesian restaurant serving popular Javanese cuisines that we are quite familiar with, a.k.a. the Penyet. The concept is for you to stand in a queue, place your order and pay at the counter, and your food would be served at your table. It had a fast-food kind of concept to it.

Note: You cannot enter the restaurant if you do not order from the counter first. Meaning, if you come in a big group, then you will all need to be in the queue until the order is placed, and you receive a number to place on your table.

Fried chicken wings (RM 3.90 - promo price)

Have to mention though, that the chicken wings looked quite miserable, as I expected a more decent looking piece. The piece was very puny. But it was very flavorful, nice and crunchy on the outside, and soft inside.

Ayam Panggang - roasted chicken; Rm 8.90

Their dishes do not come with rice, so be sure to order extra rice, which costs RM 1.90 per plate.

Ayam Penggang, Fried Chicken Wings, Ayam Penyet and Rice

The highlight of this meal is that the taste and authenticity level has been met, and I was satisfied at the end of the meal. I am an Indonesian food-lovers, and I do crave Ayam Penyet every once in a while. So when I visit an Indonesian restaurant, I expect to satisfy that crave which could be brought about with the food being served there. This place have met that level, although not as good as Cibiuk Wangsa Maju. For a quick fix of Indonesian-food crave, this place will be worth visiting.

SPASSO Restaurant & Bar, MyTOWN

I visited SPASSO Restaurant & Bar last week, and had an excellent meal. SPASSO has good selection of tapas to start, picked nachos. The main dishes were very attractive too, picked supreme paella.

Nice location for the restaurant as it is at one of the main entrance of the shopping mall. Not too many options for vegetarians, but I love spanish rice, so supreme paella was great. With a little squeeze of lemon on it, made the taste of the paella even better.

 Nachos: RM 18

Nachos came with minced chicken and avocado dip, topped with onion and tomato. Consistency of  minced chicken on the nachos was perfection.

Supreme Paella: RM 58

Overall, this place is great of a weekend dinner or date night and is surprisingly delicious. Its a good chill out place. If you are in MyTown Shopping Center, do check out SPASSO right opposite Starbucks in ground floor.
