Take Eat Easy is a fusion cafe at Bandar Menjalara. This place is located right opposite Tesco Hypermarket, Kepong. This cafe has a bakery as soon as you enter the place. I was surprised to see this place in this neighborhood. I got to know about Take Eat Easy via GrabDelivery app and decided to check it out personally.

As you enter, you will be greeted into an atmosphere of a casual dining establishment. Got to give it up for the interior though.

 

A.B.C.D: RM 18

 Fat Killer: RM 16.90

Honestly, really loved their juices, especially the A.B.C.D (Apple, Banana, Carrot, Dragon Fruit). It was very refreshing and healthy. Juices served at Take Eat Easy are fresh and squeezed upon order, presented in light bulbs. These bulbs are yours if you want to take it back with you. We have also ordered Fat Killer.

Mushroom soup: RM 17

Tradition mushroom soup with golden puff pastry. One of the best mushroom soups I have tasted so far. The soup was very flavorful and pastry on top made it even better, which was crispy to the right amount.

 Smoked salmon picnic quiche: RM 22

Quiche tasted amazing with slow baked egg and cream, smoked salmon slice, onion marmalade, english spinach in salted crust dough.

 Yogurt Chicken : RM 29

 

This was yummy; whole chicken leg was slow cooked in spicy tomato gravy served with Asian slaw, scotched egg, lentil cracker and your choice of grains. We ordered pilaf rice from their grain selections. It had plenty of flavors.

We wanted to try their dessert, but we were very full to eat anything else. We will pay them another visit just to try their dessert (waffle, cake or some bakery items from display cabinet) and coffee.

Beer Garage is a eatery cum bar in Sunway area (a bit hidden in Sunway). Good food with alcohol is always a good combination. Beer Garage provides a variety of delicious food Asian to Western.

Their food menu consists of Western grill, Thai barbecue and local wok-fried dishes. They have open kitchen concept in their bar, food prepared are fresh and clean. We decided to order our meal from Western grill options.

The Charcoal Grilled Chicken Chop is highly recommended. Chicken thigh is substantially tenderer and flavorful. This dish also comes with a choice of side dish, options available for side dishes are Mashed Potato, French Fries and Caesar Salad.

Overall, this place is nice to visit for dinner and some drinks. Their food is really good, and fresh, and their relaxing environment makes it even better.

STREAT Thai is an authentic Thai street food at the Kepong Village Mall. STREAT Thai has another successful branch at Jaya One, Petaling Jaya. Their kitchen replicates scenes of street food stalls in Thailand.

STREAT Thai also has delivery options on their own as well as via food panda, grab food, etc.

 

Lyche Ice Tea: RM 4.90
Lemongrass Tea: RM 4.90

 

Pad Krapow Chicken with Rice: RM8.90

We order Chicken Basil with rice, as this is my favorite Thai food I order this is every Thai restaurant I visit. It was flavorful and not that spicy for my taste bud.

Green Curry Chicken Noddles: RM 11.90

Green Curry Noddles came loaded with an assortment of condiments. The soup was full with flavors, spices and texture of the curry was creamy, certainly a satisfactory Thai meal.

Lemongrass and Lyche tea was very refreshing, it complemented well with our food. Overall, we had a good meal after work. We will pay them another visit if we are in that area.

We have recently visited Star Village for dinner. Their branch at Desa Aman Puri is quite new, easy to locate and find parking. Decoration of the restaurant was very nice. I did not expect to see such a place in the neighborhood. If you visit them on Valentines day, they decorate the place well with love shaped balloons and make the environment very cozy. 

 

 

As we entered the restaurant, it was quite packed. But we managed to get their last empty table just in-front of the soup corner. And went straight to ordering our food.

Fresh Lemon Juice: RM 5.90

Ice Lemon Tea: RM 5.90 

We have ordered Fresh Lemon Juice and Ice Lemon Tea. The drinks were pretty decent. It had a strong Lemon taste.

Mushroom Soup: RM 8.80

Since we were seated just in-front of the mushroom soup, we decided to give this a try. They have few types of soups. However, Mushroom soup is their best seller. It was staged right in front of the kitchen and served directly to customers. The soup was quite thick and well prepared.

Crispy Fried Cuttle Fish: RM13.90

Crispy Fried Cuttle Fish, in sort Fried Squid.  This dish was tasty and deep fried to the right level of crispness.

Lamb Chop Mint Sauce: RM22.90

The Lamb Chop was very disappointing. All three Lamb chops I received were extremely thin and was filled with bones. I had a hard time eating it. This dish came with two side dishes, Fries and Salad.  Fries and Salads had decent taste.

Grilled Chicken Chop with Black Paper Sauce: RM 19.90

Chicken Chop looked good and it had same side dishes as Lamb Chop. Taste wise it was a lot better compare to Lamb Chop.

Overall, our experience at the Start Village was good. I would visit them again, probably will not order their Lamb Chops next time. If you are in Desa Aman Puri, do give this place a try.

While strolling around DC mall, we happened upon a trendy and modern looking restaurant serving Thai food. We passed by it many a times before, but this time, we were here to taste their food. They serves pork-free items and their prices are very affordable. 

Decorations of this restaurant is quite impressive. As you enter, you will be greeted into an atmosphere of a modern casual dining establishment. 

We have made our order from their set meals. All sets comes with a starter dish and a drink. Our order was Thai Green Curry Chicken Rice and Thai Red Curry Mee with Chicken sets.

I wanted to taste their Thai Icea Tea, but being under the weather decided to order Lemongrass Tea. Tea was  nice, it was not too sweet like I expected based on my experience.

Green Curry Chicken was underwhelming, taste was not what I have expected from this place. Thai fish cake was actually just fried fish balls it decent taste.

Thai Red Curry Mee with Chicken Set : RM 19.50

Curry Mee was better than the Green Curry Chicken and portion was quite big. It is not something we can get in most thai resturents in KL.

Overall, my experience at Tigerlily was not so good with taste of the food. However, their service was okay.

While visiting Langkawi on our last trip, we have decided to take a private yacht for an evening. After some research, we came across Hallelujah Yacht.  Hospitality provided by Captain Hugo and his wife Joanna was great. The cruise was well maintained, cleaned and fully licensed to take groups cruising. It was a unique private day out around the island starting with the safety briefing by our Captain, through the sunset till the end of the cruise. We took their Private Sunset Cruise, it was RM 240 per pax in a group of 10 pax.

 

Food served during our journey was prepared by Joana, an awesome cook as reviewed by many. Variety of delicious food was served. There were many options for drinks as well, such as wine, beer, whiskey, juice or cocktails.
